I Accidentally Built a Life I Didn't Want

One day you may step back and realize you created something you never intended.
One reasonable decision at a time.
One client.
One opportunity.
One commitment.
One yes.
Then another.
And another.
I built a successful business.
I had clients.
Revenue.
Momentum.
I became so focused on building the business that I forgot to keep checking whether the business was building the life I actually wanted.
When things are working, we assume we should keep going.
When opportunities appear, we assume we should take them.
When growth happens, we assume more growth is the answer.
But a business can be successful and still be a poor fit.
You can be grateful and dissatisfied at the same time.
Proud and exhausted.
Successful and stuck.
The realization that changed everything for me was understanding that I wasn't trapped.
Sometimes the goal isn't building more.
Sometimes the goal is asking a different question.
Not:
"How do I grow this?"
But:
"Do I still want this?"
Because the life you want today may not be the life you wanted when you started.
And that's okay.
You're allowed to change.
You're allowed to evolve.
And you're allowed to redesign a life that no longer fits.
